Mental Health Monday Week 8

Mental Health Monday will feature every Monday for the next few weeks to help students navigate their COVID ruts. Feel free to work through the activities in order, or mix and match with whatever days you want to.


  1. If mother nature brings rain, dance in it.

  2. Make an elaborate hopscotch course, challenge yourself.

  3. Watch a movie you loved as a child.

  4. Call a friend to see how they are doing, listen when they speak.

  5. Get outside for a walk, maybe bring someone along with you.

  6. Find your favourite quote(s); if you have one, tell others.

  7. Grab a rock and decorate it.


Grounding tool of the week:


Use a metaphor to get a new outlook. Imagine instead you are driving through a tunnel. And while it’s totally reasonable to be nervous about driving through a tunnel, you also know that you’ll get past it, and be on the other side of the tunnel soon enough.



It’s time to start reclaiming our lives and making memories after this past year. Get going, KSS!
