Mental Health Monday Week 3

By Sadie De Arruda

Between school, clubs, and socializing, it’s important to take time each day for yourself to reset and reflect. Here’s a list of activities you can try this week to take some time for yourself. Complete them in any order you wish, or skip some if you prefer, it’s your choice.

  1. Compliment someone who needs it today.

  2. Try to get outside of your comfort zone today, with even just one small act.

  3. Practise saying something positive about your body this morning, and continue each day if possible.

  4. Do at least one kind thing for a stranger today.

  5. Fill a water bottle and try to drink it all. Drink even more if you want.

  6. Call a friend you haven’t talked to in a while, and catch up.

  7. Sit outside for a few minutes, and admire the little things in motion around you.

Grounding tool of the week:

Focus on your surroundings.

Find three things you can touch. What are their textures? What about their temperatures?

Now focus on two things you can see. What shapes are they? What sizes?

Finally, one thing you can hear. Is it a happy sound? Do you recognize it?

Repeat as many times as needed.

Have a week, KSS!
