Mental Health Monday Week 8

Mental Health Monday will feature every Monday for the next few weeks to help students navigate their COVID ruts. Feel free to work through the activities in order, or mix and match with whatever days you want to.


  1. Set aside a time to call someone you haven’t talked to in a while.

  2. Go out to a thrift store and buy yourself something new and bold.

  3. Make your lunch/ pack your bag the night before, let yourself sleep in an extra five minutes

  4. Go a day without social media.

  5. Go for a run (nothing crazy, just get out for a while).

  6. Try to drink one more glass of water today.

  7. Think of something you’ve been putting off; today’s the day you finally do it.


Grounding tool of the week:

Practice square breathing.

Breathe in 1, 2, 3, 4.

Hold it 1, 2, 3, 4.

Breathe out 1, 2, 3, 4.

Hold it 1, 2, 3, 4.

Repeat as many times as needed.
