Mental Health Monday will feature every Monday for the next few weeks to help students navigate their COVID ruts. Feel free to work through the activities in order, or mix and match with whatever days you want to.
Go to bed half an hour earlier.
After you wake up, stand up, stretch your hands above your head, and then reach down and touch your toes. Repeat this before bed.
Try to photograph something that made you smile today.
Get out for a walk for at least ten minutes.
Put on a favourite piece of clothing.
Offer to make someone a meal.
Go a day without social media.
Grounding tool of the week:
When you feel your worries taking over, try to imagine them as a character. Maybe they’re a short man in sunglasses, or a talking dog. Just sit in the audience and watch their character move about, maybe even sing?
It’s time to start reclaiming our lives and making memories after this past year. Get going, KSS!
