Mental Health Monday will feature every Monday for the next few weeks to help students navigate their COVID ruts. Feel free to work through the activities in order, or mix and match with whatever days you want to.
Call a friend you haven’t heard from in a while, check in on them.
Pick flowers.
Tell your best friend how much you love them (or show them).
Search for four-leaf clovers.
Make a time capsule.
Ask a parent or guardian about their day, listen as they talk to you, and respond.
Take five minutes to list all the good things that happened today.
Grounding tool of the week:
Turn on a sad song and write out everything that could go wrong. When the song ends, take a few deep breaths. Now turn on a happy song, list everything that could go right, or turn out positive. Once the song ends you can decide what to do with your list. Hold it tight, rip it up, it’s up to you now.
It’s time to start reclaiming our lives and making memories after this past year. Get going, KSS!
