Mental Health Monday Week 4

| By Sadie DeArruda | November 23, 2021 |

Mental Health Monday will feature every Monday for the next few weeks to help students navigate their COVID ruts. Feel free to work through the activities in order, or mix and match with whatever days you want to.

  1. Set a goal for yourself; spend the day working to achieve that.

  2. Call and catch up with a friend you haven’t talked to in a while.

  3. Ask someone who’s done what you want to do for advice today.

  4. Clean your room. Deep cleaning is best but simple tidying works too.

  5. Watch a movie you loved as a child.

  6. Take a stroll, try for at least 15 minutes.

  7. Hold the door open for people today.

Grounding tool of the week:

Try to visualize a daily task or something you don’t mind doing. An example could be laundry: feeling the warm fabrics as you fold once, then twice. Maybe you’re making the bed, pulling the sheets to the top, tucking them in at the bottom and folding the corners over top.

Have a great week, KSS!
