Mental Health Monday Week 1

Mental Health Monday will feature every Monday for the next few weeks to help students navigate their COVID ruts. Feel free to work through the activities in order, or mix and match with whatever days you want to.



  1. Make your lunch/ pack your bag the night before, let yourself sleep an extra five minutes.

  2. Pay as many compliments today as possible. (You can check the list.)

  3. Try to create a morning schedule for yourself; begin practising it this week and adjust as needed.

  4. Remember to say please and thank you when people help you out.

  5. Try to get outside of your comfort zone today, even just with one small act.

  6. Take a whack at baking something today.

  7. Check in with someone you haven’t heard from in a while.







Grounding tool of the week:


Focus on taking some deep breaths, and either out loud or in your head repeat one of the following mantras:

“This is only temporary.”

“This too shall pass.”

“I’ve gotten through worse.”
