Mental Health Monday will feature every Monday for the next few weeks to help students navigate their COVID ruts. Feel free to work through the activities in order, or mix and match with whatever days you want to.
Check out the Bears Bulletin end of year articles!
Write a love poem to everything good about this year, it doesn’t have to be good.
Make a summer bucket list, everything big or small that you want to do.
Message someone that made this school year better for you, thank them and let them know they made a difference in your life.
Email a teacher whose class you loved, and let them know how much you appreciate them and all they did for you this year.
Write a letter to yourself to open when you’ve made it through the next year. Mention what was great about your year, or add what you're excited about for next year.
Make yourself a cake, maybe it’s just a cupcake. Decorate it to celebrate making it through this school year!
Grounding tool of the week:
Sit outdoors or facing a window, make sure you’re comfortable. Close your eyes and focus on breathing in and out until you feel more relaxed. Open your eyes and look for five things you can see nearby. Now focus on four things you can hear. Okay and now focus on three things you can feel. Notice two things that you can smell. And finally notice one thing you can taste.
It’s time to start reclaiming our lives and making memories after this past year. Have an amazing, and relaxing summer KSS!
