School sports have finally returned! We are well into the fall season and for the very first time, the KSS Bears are participating in KASSAA. There are new facilities like the gyms and the outdoor field, and lots of excitement for the coming year. The reintroduction of school sports after the COVID 19 delay is something to which students have been looking forward for over seventeen months! Volleyball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football and Field Hockey teams are all currently practising and playing.
The Cross Country team ran KASSAA on Friday! This was KSS’s first KASSAA race, and with a mighty reputation preceding them, the team blew away the competition. Every age group and gender qualified for OFSAA, and five out of the six races were won by KSS! This KASSAA race was also the highest scoring in KCVI and KSS history! OFSAA is on Saturday, November 6th in Lakefield, Ontario.
