The Hawthorne Legacy Review

| By Anahita Sehgal, Andrea Wang | November 1, 2021 |

Hawthorne Legacy

The Hawthorne Legacy is an amazing book that was just as exciting as the first! The sequel to The Inheritance Games, it starts a little while after The Inheritance Games leaves off and expands on the different characters and plots while revealing some brand new secrets.

This book was fast-paced, interesting, and fun to read! It kept you guessing along with the characters which made it seem like you were solving a mystery as well. You get to learn more about some of the characters introduced in the first book and dive more into the past of Avery and the Hawthorne family.

We loved how the second book expanded this world. You learn a lot more about the main character, Avery Grambs. The mysteries that follow her leave readers anticipating the next chapter with a bated breath. You also get to see the growing connections between Avery, Jameson, and Grayson, while getting re-introduced to some characters who have some of their own mysteries hidden in their pasts.

As for the ending, this book didn’t end in a plot twist like the first. Instead, there was a great mix of contentment and surprise to the ending that will leave readers satisfied and anticipating the third book (which comes out next year).

Overall, this book was an amazing read (it didn’t even have the second-book-curse!) and we’d recommend you continue to read The Inheritance Games series by adding this book to your collection!
