Student’s Choice Award Winners

| By Nate Loken | June 20, 2022 |

The Student’s Choice Graduation Awards have concluded! For those of you who are unaware: the Student’s Choice Graduation Awards are eight awards given to nine different KSS students. They are fun, unofficial awards that seek to recognize students outside of academic or athletic achievements. The winners were determined by the number of nominations people receive in the google form in the Bears Bulletin Instagram bio. The categories were as follows: best personality, best friendship, most likely to survive a zombie apocalypse, best shoe game, best fashion style, best sense of humour, most likely to become an influencer and most likely to rule the world.

Without any further ado, let’s get to the winners!

Best Personality: Cooper Robertson

Cooper is easily one of the funniest and nicest people you will ever meet. He always has a story to share and is always willing to go the extra mile to make people smile. Cooper has also been elected the 2022 valedictorian, so you know he’s beloved here at KSS. Congratulations to Cooper on being awarded “Best Personality”.

Best Friendship: Zoha Virk and Nikola Manning

If you’ve ever met Nikola and Zoha, you can tell they’re great friends. They believe they were voted because everyone knows they beat the enderdragon in minecraft. Also they have been on record saying“Jessica [Lui] looks up to our friendship so much she got everyone to vote for us”. Zoha has been described by Nikola as “the Shaggy to her scooby.” Conversely, Nikola has been described as the “Kanye to her Taylor” by Zoha. It’s for these reasons that the two have been given the title, “Best Friendship.”

Most Likely to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse: Dan Cassista

Dan is probably one the people most prepared for a zombie apocalypse. He informed the Bears Bulletin that he has rations, water purifiers and a generator all in his house. If the apocalypse occurs, you’ll certainly want him on your side! It’s for these reasons that Dan has been voted, “Most Likely to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse”.

Best Shoe Game: Graydon Garrett

When it comes to knowing the world of shoes, Graydon is your guy. He wears the best and does it well. Graydon has such a sound knowledge of shoe fashion, he’s even had his own shoe resale business for several years. For these reasons, Graydon has been voted, “Best Shoe Game”.

Best Fashion Style: Hannah Gwynne-Timothy

If you’ve ever seen Hannah walking down the hallway, you’ve never doubted for a minute that she’s worthy of this award. Her diverse arrays of outfits always stand out to even those of us with no fashion inclination whatsoever. Congratulations to Hannah for being elected, “Best Fashion Style.”

Best Sense of Humour: Jad Tirani

Jad may not be the most dominating presence in the classroom but he’s certainly the most memorable. He’s quick to make a one-liner or shoot you a funny look. When asked about his sense of humour he stated, “I just think back to Disney shows,” and refused to elaborate. For these reasons, Jad has been awarded, “Best Sense of Humour”.

Most Likely to Become an Influencer: Justin Brown

As you can see from his picture, Justin is a talented photographer. However, he also is a talented videographer, as you can see by his TikTok account. It’s his talent behind the camera that has led KSS graduates to award him the title, “Most Likely to Become an Influencer”.

Most Likely to Rule the World: Satish Patel

Satish is an exceptional leader in the KSS community. He is currently Head Representative of KSS alongside Emily Hesp, a position in which he displayed his fairness and honesty as a leader. Satish says he is “excited to extend his influence outside of KSS.” For these reasons and more, KSS has awarded Satish, “Most Likely to Rule the World.”
