Movie Review: Zach Snyder's Justice League

Jad Tirani | May 10, 2021 |

The release of the new Justice League rework has been released, Fans are excited, but is it worth all the buzz?

The Snyder cut has recently become one of the most talked about films in the DC community. its four hours of raw entertainment provide an interesting take on film that is not often represented. Finding time for the film may be an issue, however, in my personal opinion it is definitely worth the time; holding off until a weekend or break could be a perfect time to get with family or friends in your bubble to watch the movie.

One thing the Snyder cut improves on was the introductions of the characters, especially Cyborg and the Flash. Cyborg's story shows his loss through the conflict and hatred towards his father for turning him into what he believes is a monster and also ending his career in football. The Origin story of another character like the Flash, which was cut out of the original version, was an interesting glimpse into the world that he inhabits, showing us his perspective of how it is to maneuver through time.

The Snyder Cut’s plot finally features a Darkseid with the perfect amount of time to explain the plot and why Steppenwolf is trying to claim the earth. The plot is very easy to follow from beginning to end, making it friendly to those who don't follow the DC Universe. The addition of the Snyder cuts teaser to the Knightmare realm introduces a new storyline that fans are excited for seeing as the original 2017 Justice League ended, leaving the fans with no clues as to what might come next.

With that being said The Snyder cut is definitely a step up from its predecessor with its easy-to-follow plot that doesn't get too dry for the viewers through the four hours. In my opinion, I would recommend watching it as it is one of my favorite DC movies.
