Mental Health Monday Week 5

By Sadie De Arruda

Between school, clubs and socializing, it’s important to take time each day for yourself to reset and reflect. Here’s a list of activities you can try this week to take some time for yourself. Complete them in any order you wish, or skip some if you prefer; it’s your choice.

  1. Create your morning playlist to get you out of bed each day.

  2. Find an old recipe you loved when you were younger and try making it for yourself.

  3. Get outside today and feel the sun’s warmth on your face.

  4. Make a list of things that made you smile today.

  5. Ask a parent or guardian about their day, listen as they talk to you, and respond.

  6. Make yourself an extravagant snack after school today.

  7. Put on a favourite piece of clothing.

Grounding tool of the week:

Try slowly stroking your hair just above your ear, and following down your ear all the way to your neck. Focus on exhaling each time and inhaling between each round. Feel free to switch ears or do both at the same time, whatever works best for you!

Continue as long as needed.

Welcome to spring, Bears! Keep up being the amazing people you are and have a week, KSS!
