Bracelets for Better

| By: Lucy D’Elia | March 9, 2022 |

The online store, Bracelets for Better, was created by Regiopolis Notre Dame grade 11 student, Natalia Collins. All bracelets are handmade and available for delivery within Kingston along with shipment to other parts of Canada and the US. What makes the store special, however, is that not only are 100% of the proceeds donated to charity, but the customer can also choose which of three great foundations will receive their money! This is a great way to give back to a charity that aligns with your personal views and receive a beautiful woven bracelet in return!

Customers can choose between donating to World Vision Canada, Sick Kids, and St. Vincent de Paul of Kingston, Ontario.

World Vision Canada is a global relief organization fighting against poverty and resource inequality. They do this by providing those in need with access to clean water, food, literacy programs, and vaccine distribution. To learn more about World Vision Canada check out https://www.worldvision.ca/.

The Hospital for Sick Children, better known as Sick Kids, is based in Toronto but is focused on advancing children’s healthcare worldwide as well as in Canada. They also aim to provide a welcoming environment for families staying at the hospital. They offer many different resources, ranging from recreational opportunities to housing to religious requests. The facility is also focused on teaching future physicians and ensuring proper care for future patients. For more information on Sick Kids click https://www.sickkids.ca/.

St. Vincent de Paul is a local charity working to provide aid to those lacking necessary resources and support. They supply everything from food to bedding and hygiene products to toys for young children. The charity aims to create a community that values helping one another, especially those in need. Visit http://www.svdpkingston.com/ to learn more about St Vincent de Paul.
